Every thing we do in class, we do in the name of science.

Uh....Every thing we do in class, we do in the name of science, right (not art for Christ's sake)? As some of you know I've been enjoying a little Stress/Strain Analysis. Now it's time to apply this to my bike frame. "Stress/Strain Analysis of Bicycle Frame."

Time to face reality. LOL, I'm pumped. Oh boy, this is happening.

Ryan and David, two senior mechanical engineering majors who I have worked with for two years, are doing an ISO stress test, with test equipment they are fabricating. On my bicycle frame. Will It come back to me in pieces? They are going to use axial load beam theory to:

1) calibrate and utilize both strain gauges and load cell

2) study structural characteristics of bike frame geometry

3) perform uncertainty analysis

4) compare accuracy of computational and experimental approaches

This is going to be fuck'n cool as shit! Who wouldn't do well to add a little "uncertainty analysis" into their life. Life is either a daring experiment or it is nothing.

James welded the frame so there will be no issues.
